Walt Disney World Passholders can get two small plates and two beverages for $49 at Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting October 20. The Nomad Lounge Passholder offer runs every day from 3 p.m. until park close through December 18, with tax and gratuity added on top, as Blog Mickey reported.
Nomad Lounge sits on Discovery Island beside Tiffins Restaurant, on the walk toward Pandora, and its covered terrace looks out over the Discovery River. It is a calm spot to sit down with a drink in the afternoon, and this deal puts a fixed price on that break through the holiday stretch.
What The $49 Gets You
The offer covers select small plates and select beverages, and the drinks can be alcoholic or nonalcoholic. Chinese Five-Spice Glazed Chicken Wings and Traveller’s Provisions, the lounge’s warm naan served with a trio of dips, are among the plates named so far. The Charcuterie and Cheese Board is not part of the deal, substitutions and add-ons don’t count, and the list of eligible items can change without notice.
Whether it saves you money depends on what you order. The eligible small plates on the regular Nomad Lounge menu run $11 to $18, and the specialty cocktails cost $16 to $20. Two orders of Traveller’s Provisions at $18 each and two $19 cocktails would come to $74 before tax, so a Passholder ordering from the top of the menu keeps about $25. If you lean toward the cheaper plates and zero-proof drinks, regular prices could come out lower than $49, so it is worth adding it up before you commit.
Before You Go
Pull up your Annual Pass in the Tickets and Passes section of the My Disney Experience app and have a government-issued photo ID ready when you order. The deal is dine-in only, so it applies when you sit down at the lounge rather than to anything ordered to go.
Nomad Lounge is also taking reservations for the first time, for dining starting November 8, with booking opening October 28. They are recommended for the Passholder offer but not required, and walk-up seating and the waitlist stay in place for guests who would rather take their chances. With the deal starting October 20, the first few weeks of the offer will be walk-up only.
The lounge also now has Nomad Lounge To Go, a mobile order option built around its churros, which is separate from this offer. For Passholders planning an afternoon at Animal Kingdom between late October and mid-December, the deal is an easy way to turn a snack stop into a proper sit-down break before heading into Pandora or staying for the evening.
