A Proud Family Wizmas Premieres November 14 On Disney+ With Anderson .Paak And Gabrielle Union

First look at the stop-motion special A Proud Family Wizmas on Disney+

A Proud Family Wizmas, the stop-motion holiday special that closes out The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, premieres Saturday, November 14, on Disney+. Disney+ set the date on October 13 and revealed the guest cast, led by Anderson .Paak, Lil Rel Howery and JB Smoove, with Gabrielle Union returning.

The special was first announced alongside the fourth and final season of Louder and Prouder, which arrived on Disney+ in July. That ends a run that began when Disney+ revived The Proud Family in 2022, two decades after the original series premiered on Disney Channel. Until October 13 there was no date. Now fans know Penny Proud’s Christmas story lands on a Saturday in mid-November, a little under two weeks before Thanksgiving, with poster art released alongside the date.

Penny Has To Save Christmas

The story starts with Penny breaking Christmas. Her rant about Wizmas and how commercial the holiday has become gets Santa to quit on Christmas Eve, and Penny gets guilted into putting on the red suit herself. With help from Santa’s irreverent elves, she has to save Christmas for the children of Emilyville and the rest of the world, and finds out along the way that the Christmas spirit is still alive.

It is a musical, too. Kurt Farquhar returns as songwriter and composer with six new original songs.

Who Joins The Proud Family For The Holidays

Anderson .Paak voices a Mall Elf and JB Smoove plays a Mall Santa. Lil Rel Howery is Bubble, Karlous Miller is Benny, Tone Loc is Penny Loc, Earthquake is Big Mack, Luenell is Belinda and Affion Crockett is Billy. Gabrielle Union comes back as Talia Rogue.

The regular cast is back as well, with Kyla Pratt as Penny, Tommy Davidson as Oscar, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama and Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby.

Wizmas joins a Disney holiday streaming slate that also includes the Bob’s Burgers holiday short arriving on Hulu December 7. Ahead of the premiere, The Proud Family, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder and The Proud Family Movie are all streaming on Disney+.
