The Beach Boys Are Out At EPCOT, And John Stamos Is Taking Their Eat To The Beat Nights

John Stamos is still coming to EPCOT next month, but The Beach Boys are not. Disney’s updated Eat to the Beat schedule now lists John Stamos and the California Sound on November 11 and 12, the two nights The Beach Boys were booked to close out their run at the America Gardens Theatre.

When the lineup first came out, the plan was for Stamos to join The Beach Boys at EPCOT on November 11 and 12, the same pairing that played the festival last year. Now his own group takes the whole bill. The dates, the stage and the showtimes stay the same, so anyone who planned a park day around those concerts does not need to change anything.

Why The Change

Disney’s schedule does not give a reason for the swap. It follows recent public questions about Mike Love, the band’s co-founder and its last remaining original member. Stamos addressed it himself on Instagram, as Laughing Place reported: “My beloved friend, father figure, musical hero and mentor, Mike Love, is facing serious health challenges. We hope he’ll be doing what he loves for years to come, but we don’t know what the future holds.”

Stamos, best known as Uncle Jesse on Full House, was never an official Beach Boy. He has been a regular part of the band’s touring group since the 1980s, though, which makes him a natural fit for the nights they were supposed to play.

The Rest Of November At Eat To The Beat

Here is how the final stretch of the concert series lines up now:

  • October 30-November 1: Southbound
  • November 2-3: Boyz II Men
  • November 4-5: Big Head Todd and The Monsters
  • November 6-8: M-80’s
  • November 9-10: Grace Potter
  • November 11-12: John Stamos and the California Sound
  • November 13-16: The Hooligans

Big Head Todd and The Monsters and Grace Potter are both making their EPCOT debuts. The Hooligans get the last word with four straight nights to end the series.

How To See The Show

There are three concerts each night, at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m., and every one is included with EPCOT admission. Seats are first come, first served, so it pays to get in line early.

If you want a guaranteed spot, the Eat to the Beat Concert Series Dining Package pairs a meal at an EPCOT restaurant with seating in a reserved section for a same-day show. You still pick your own seat inside that section, so arriving early helps there too. The America Gardens Theatre sits on World Showcase Lagoon in front of The American Adventure.

The concerts wrap up November 16, while the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival itself runs through November 21.
