The Paradise Gardens gazebo at Disney California Adventure has been removed. The structure stood beside Goofy’s Sky School in the outdoor dining area shared by Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, and its spot is now empty, opening up the view of Goofy’s Sky School.

Demolition started in early September. By September 8, construction walls covered most of the gazebo, its roof was partly torn off, and it had been taken off the map in the Disneyland app. Coco-themed walls now run from Goofy’s Sky School to Paradise Garden Grill. By September 23, the gazebo was gone, as seen in photos taken from above while riding Goofy’s Sky School.

In recent years the gazebo hosted character meet and greets, mostly during the park’s seasonal festivals. When no characters were scheduled, it worked as extra covered seating for guests eating at Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, which share the patio around where it stood.
A Structure That Has Been In The Park Since 2001
The gazebo opened with Disney’s California Adventure in 2001, on the other side of the park in Bountiful Valley Farm, where it was a shop called Santa Rosa Seed & Supply. When A Bug’s Land opened in 2002, the building became P.T. Flea Market, a Bug’s Life-themed store.
That shop closed for good on September 7, 2010, to make way for Cars Land, which took over much of that corner of the park. Rather than demolish the structure, Disney repainted it and moved it across the park to its spot beside Goofy’s Sky School, where it became part of the garden dining courtyard that opened with Paradise Garden Grill in July 2011. It stayed there for roughly the next 15 years. The Bountiful Valley name is set to return with Bountiful Valley Brews, a kiosk going up along the park’s Performance Corridor.
What Comes Next Is Unclear
Disney has not said why the gazebo was removed or what will fill the space.
Rumors point to an expanded restroom facility to handle the crowds expected for the Coco attraction now under construction near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier. Nothing official supports that yet.
Goofy’s Sky School is still operating, and Paradise Garden Grill is serving its Plaza de la Familia menu through November 2, 2026. The gazebo’s festival meet and greets have lost their shaded spot, and Disney has not said where they will move.
