Aerial Photos Show Lakeshore Lodge’s A-Frame Lake Houses Rising On Bay Lake

The A-frame Lake Houses at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge are rising on the shore of Bay Lake. More aerial photos from bioreconstruct’s Tuesday night set show a row of the freestanding cabins along the water, along with the Cypress Point pool and the resort’s boat dock under construction.

Disney calls the Lake Houses new and exclusive to Lakeshore Lodge. They will come in one- and two-bedroom versions, and Disney describes each as a freestanding retreat with dramatic A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows and views of Bay Lake. They are separate from the resort’s one- and two-bedroom villas, which will sleep up to five and up to nine guests, respectively. From above, the dark peaked roofs of the Lake Houses line the shoreline among mature trees.

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct paired one of his shots with a photo of the resort’s concept model, which sits in the Walt Disney Presents gallery at Hollywood Studios. Side by side, the two show how the finished row of cabins is meant to look.

Cypress Point And The Boat Dock

Cypress Point is one of the resort’s pool areas. It sits on the opposite side of the resort from Lakeshore Lagoon, the feature pool at the heart of The Wetlands, and Disney plans a leisure pool and whirlpool spa there that will look out toward the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Lakeshore Lagoon will have the spiral waterslide, and the Daydream River lazy river will wind through The Wetlands. In the new photos, Cypress Point is still a construction site, with a curved pool shell going in between the guest wings and new landscaping that runs down to the water.

Beyond the pool deck, a long dock reaches out into Bay Lake. Disney has pitched Lakeshore Lodge as just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom.

The Whole Site From Above

The overviews show the guest buildings rising around both pool areas. Earlier in the same set, bioreconstruct photographed otter figures, waterslides and giant bird sculptures going into The Wetlands pool courtyard.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will have 967 rooms, from studios to the Lake Houses and three-bedroom grand villas, with room types themed to Disney films set in nature such as Bambi, Pocahontas and Fantasia. It opens July 1, 2027, and reservations opened to all guests on October 8.
