Coral Reef Restaurant Reopens November 4 At EPCOT And Reservations Are Already Open, But Lunch Is Not Coming Back

Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT now has a return date. Dinner reservations for the aquarium-view restaurant inside The Seas with Nemo and Friends are open for November 4, 2026, putting an end to nearly three months of uncertainty over how long its upcoming refurbishment would last.

The restaurant closes Tuesday, September 8, for what Disney describes as planned maintenance. Since the closure was first posted in June, the only timeline Disney offered was that Coral Reef was expected to reopen later in 2026. That notice is still the wording on the restaurant’s page today, but the dining calendar behind it has filled in the blank, with dinner hours listed from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning November 4. The closure works out to just under eight weeks.

Dinner Only, Same As Before

Guests hoping the refurbishment would bring lunch back will be disappointed. Coral Reef will return on the same dinner-only schedule it has run all year. The restaurant dropped lunch service in January 2026 and has operated from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ever since, and the November 4 calendar carries that schedule forward without change. Disney has not indicated any menu changes tied to the closure, and the maintenance notice does not describe the scope of the work.

The restaurant’s signature remains its wall of windows into the 5.7 million gallon aquarium at The Seas, where sharks, rays, sea turtles and more than 2,000 other sea creatures pass diners’ tables. The menu leans on Florida coastal cooking, with the Lobster Bisque among the longtime signatures. All of that is expected to be intact when the doors reopen.

Closed For Most Of Food And Wine, Back For The Holidays

The timing matters for anyone planning a fall EPCOT trip. Coral Reef will be dark for much of the 2026 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, one of the park’s busiest dining seasons, which removes a table-service option near World Nature during a stretch when reservations are already competitive. As we reported when the September closure was first confirmed, the festival’s Eat to the Beat dining packages were the first casualty guests noticed.

The November 4 date does land ahead of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays and its Candlelight Processional dining packages, which historically fill every participating restaurant. Reopening a few weeks before the holiday festival gives Coral Reef time to settle back into service before that demand arrives, and puts it back in play for Veterans Day and Thanksgiving week visitors.

What To Do If You Want A Table

Reservations for November 4 and beyond are bookable now through the My Disney Experience app and the Walt Disney World website, and because the dates were only just loaded, availability was open across the evening when they first appeared. Guests with existing reservations that fall between September 8 and November 3 should expect those bookings to be cancelled, and may want to move them to a date after the reopening while tables are still easy to find.

Refurbishment schedules at Walt Disney World can shift, and Disney has not yet updated the public notice on the restaurant’s page to reflect the November date. Until it does, the reservation calendar is the clearest signal of when Coral Reef comes back, and right now it points to the first week of November.
