E!’s new reality series The Golden Life is coming to Hulu. Versant, the cable company that owns E!, has signed a licensing deal to stream the show on Hulu in the U.S., Deadline reports. The first two episodes arrive November 3.
The episodes will be available on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers. After that, each new episode will land on Hulu seven days after it premieres on E!.
The Housewives Head To Palm Beach
The Golden Life reunites five former stars of The Real Housewives of New York City: Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. The series follows the group as New York snowbirds who pack up and head to Palm Beach, Florida, to reconnect in what E! calls the “golden” era of their lives.
The show premiered on E! on Tuesday, October 20, and new episodes air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. It is produced by Blink49 Studios.
Why It’s Streaming On Hulu
The question popped up on social media after Tuesday’s premiere: where can you stream it? Morgan had teased that the series would end up on Hulu, but at the time Versant insiders said there were no streaming plans. The Hulu deal answers that question.
Versant is the group of cable networks spun off from Comcast, and it has no streaming service of its own. The new agreement builds on an earlier Versant deal that gave Hulu the U.S. streaming rights to Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“We knew we were onto something special with The Golden Life, and the enthusiasm around the series has been palpable. We’re excited to bring this new chapter to an even wider audience,” said Val Boreland, Versant’s president of entertainment. She added that the deal “extends the reach of a distinctive E! series and reflects Versant’s strategy of creating more ways for fans to connect with the programming they love.”
More Reality On Hulu
The Golden Life is not the only reality show heading to Hulu this fall. Hulu is also rebooting The Circle, the social media competition that spent seven seasons on Netflix, with Tinx stepping in as host in place of Michelle Buteau, who hosted the Netflix version. The Circle premieres on Hulu on November 17, two weeks after The Golden Life’s first episodes arrive.
