It’s official. McDonald’s Disney Villains Boo Buckets are coming October 20. The official McDonald’s Happy Meal Instagram account confirmed the date on October 14 with a short teaser captioned “mom can u come pick me up on 10.20 im scared..”

The teaser only shows five pairs of glowing villain eyes, but they line up with the set that leaked earlier this week. As we reported on October 13, the lineup is Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Scar from The Lion King, Jafar from Aladdin and Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians.
What The Buckets Look Like
Based on the leaked images, each pail comes in its own color with the villain’s face on the side. Ursula is purple, Maleficent is green, Scar is orange, Jafar is red and Cruella De Vil is white, and every bucket has a gold handle shaped like the Golden Arches. Each one also comes with a sticker sheet that mixes Disney characters with McDonald’s items, so kids can decorate their pail.
How To Get One
Boo Buckets come with a Happy Meal, and they’ve always been sold at participating restaurants while supplies last. McDonald’s hasn’t shared a price or said how long the Disney set will be around. Last year’s buckets arrived on October 21, so this year’s set lands a day earlier, 11 days before Halloween.
If you want a specific villain, go early. The buckets tend to disappear fast at popular locations, and collectors usually chase the full set. This year’s lineup marks a big change for the pails, which have featured McDonald’s own Halloween characters since they returned in 2022.
