Once the link is on, the photos sit in Shutterfly ready to store or turn into photo books, cards, gifts and other keepsakes. That skips the step of downloading a trip’s worth of PhotoPass shots and uploading them somewhere else. Disney Cruise Line and Aulani guests get the same automatic sync in early 2027.
Both companies pitched the deal around what happens after the vacation. Disney said it wants to make it easier for guests to bring their trip memories into everyday life, and Shutterfly framed it as connecting the moment a photo is taken with the keepsake that comes later.
Park Designs You Can Only Get At Shutterfly
The deal comes with a new Disney shopping hub on Shutterfly.com that gathers photo books, cards, home decor, games, ornaments and other personalized gifts in one place. The headline addition is a set of Disney Parks collections sold only on Shutterfly.com.
The Walt Disney World designs draw from all four parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Disneyland Resort designs cover Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Disney and Shutterfly say more collections built around Disney experiences will follow.
Character products are growing as well, with new items featuring Toy Story, Cars, Mickey & Friends and Winnie the Pooh. The character items come through Shutterfly’s expanded deal with Disney Consumer Products.
What It Means For Your Next Trip
The sync is opt-in, so nothing moves to Shutterfly unless you turn it on. Disney PhotoPass photographers work all over both resorts, from Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth in Florida to Sleeping Beauty Castle in California. Disney has not said whether on-ride attraction photos are part of the sync, so check your Shutterfly account after a ride photo posts to see whether it carried over.
The launch comes ahead of holiday card season and holiday parties that include PhotoPass downloads in the ticket price. Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 7, and PhotoPass downloads are included with every ticket.
