The Jonas Brothers Turn Their Legends Weekend Into A 45 City Burning Up Reunion Tour

The Jonas Brothers are turning their Disney Legends weekend into a full tour announcement. One day after Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas were inducted as Disney Legends at D23, the band announced The Burning Up Tour All Over Again is expanding into a 45 city North American tour, reviving the 2008 arena run that defined their first era for a generation of Disney Channel fans.

45 Cities, Coast To Coast

The tour kicks off September 25 in Boston and closes December 21 in Newark, New Jersey, with stops including Toronto, Washington D.C., Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego and a November 5 date at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The expansion follows an overwhelming response to the band’s three sold out anniversary shows at Madison Square Garden, set for August 20 through 22. In a statement, the brothers said the last tour reminded them how much the music means to fans and that the MSG response convinced them not to stop at New York.

Tickets begin with a Spotify Reserved presale in the U.S. on Tuesday, August 18 at 8:28 am local time, a wink at the song that names the tour.

The Tour That Started It All

The original Burning Up Tour launched July 4, 2008 in Toronto and ran through March 22, 2009 in San Juan, supporting both Camp Rock and the album A Little Bit Longer. Its guest list reads like a time capsule now, with Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato among the openers. Revisiting it as Disney Legends closes a loop that started when the brothers were the faces of Disney Channel.

A Week Of Milestones

The announcement caps an unusually packed stretch. Camp Rock 3 premiered Thursday on Disney Channel before hitting Disney+ on Friday, arriving nearly two decades after the original film debuted just ahead of the first Burning Up Tour. We covered the new film’s music when the full Camp Rock 3 soundtrack was revealed for preorder. The band was also named as halftime performers for the NFL’s first regular season game in Australia.

Then came Sunday’s ceremony at the Honda Center, where Vanessa Hudgens presented the brothers with their Disney Legends honors and the band thanked Bob Iger, joking from the stage that they always consider him family. The Legends class recognizes lasting impact on The Walt Disney Company, and the brothers arrived with more than 20 million albums sold, 26 Billboard Hot 100 hits and three consecutive number one debuts on the Billboard 200. Within 24 hours of the induction, they had turned the nostalgia into a routing sheet.
