The Mandalorian And Grogu Now Have A Traditional Meet And Greet Beside The Millennium Falcon

The Mandalorian and Grogu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

The Mandalorian and Grogu have traded roaming for a set spot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The pair now meet guests in a traditional meet and greet beside the Millennium Falcon, complete with a marked queue, Blog Mickey reported after photographing the new setup.

For anyone who has tried to chase Mando through Black Spire Outpost, this is a real change. When the duo arrived at Hollywood Studios in March 2023, they roamed the land and drew crowds that followed them through the Marketplace. Guests could wait in the sun for more than an hour without knowing when the pair would turn up. Now there is a place to go and a line to stand in.

Where To Find Them Now

Mando and Grogu meet under the overhang next to the Millennium Falcon, where chain stanchions now mark out the queue. Grogu rides along in the sling on the Mandalorian’s chest, and photos are taken against the rockwork beside the ship. Meet and greet times are listed in the My Disney Experience app, so you can plan around them instead of hoping to get lucky.

That corner used to belong to Chewbacca. He became the first Galaxy’s Edge character to move to a traditional meet and greet in July 2025, and he has now swapped places with the duo. Chewie greets guests at the end of the Marketplace, where Mando used to meet, with a large gate set into the rockwork as his new backdrop.

Mando Still Roams, Sometimes

The fixed meet does not end surprise encounters entirely. Mando still roams Galaxy’s Edge twice a day, and those walks now include stops inside Oga’s Cantina. Grogu sits the cantina visits out. The roaming appearances are not advertised or guaranteed, so the spot by the Falcon is the reliable way to get a photo with both of them.

Not every character in the land has made the switch. Rey and Kylo Ren still roam Black Spire Outpost, so a chance run-in is still part of a day in Galaxy’s Edge. Disney has not announced the change or said whether more characters will move to fixed locations.

What It Means For Your Visit

For families, the new setup takes most of the guesswork out of meeting Mando and Grogu. Check the times in the app, head to the Falcon and wait your turn like any other character meet. If you also want a photo with Chewbacca, he is now at the far end of the Marketplace.

Elsewhere in Galaxy’s Edge, Savi’s Workshop recently debuted new Protection and Defense hilts and blade effects.
