Disney+ and Hulu are adding two true crime podcasts from Pave Studios, and subscribers will see new episodes a day before anyone else. Clues, hosted by Kaelyn Moore, premieres on both services Tuesday, October 20, and Mother Knows Murder, hosted by Niecy Nash and her daughter Dia Nash, follows on November 9.

Both shows come from Crime House, Pave’s true crime label. They are the first Pave titles a major streaming platform has picked up, Deadline reported. Each new episode will land on Disney+ and Hulu one day before it reaches other podcast platforms.

What Each Show Covers

Clues has been running as a weekly video podcast since April 2025, digging into notorious crimes and the forensic breakthroughs behind them. Moore, who also hosts Heart Starts Pounding and the newer Last Trace with Kaelyn Moore, said the show “was developed with a streaming audience in mind from day one.” She added that the goal was a show with the production quality and storytelling to “stand naturally alongside other premium content on a streamer like Disney+ and Hulu.”

Mother Knows Murder is brand new. Pave first announced the Nash project in June, before it had a title, as a weekly, unscripted conversation about crimes of passion, cases built around love and trust gone wrong. Each episode has the two Nashes breaking down a real case while lounging in bed, a looser setup than the narrated style many true crime shows use. ABC viewers know Niecy Nash from The Rookie: Feds, and she also led Claws.

Why Disney Wants Podcasts

Streamers have watched YouTube grow into a living room habit, and many now want podcasts on their own services. Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock and, more recently, Disney+ have been looking to add podcast programming. Video podcasts are seen as a budget-friendly way to keep people watching.

Pave was founded by Max Cutler, who built the podcast network Parcast and became a Spotify executive after Spotify bought it. Cutler called the Disney deal proof that Crime House’s creator-led approach works, and said Disney is “the first of many places we expect these stories to go.”

“As streaming platforms increasingly look to add premium content from talented creators, Pave is well-positioned to be a content collaborator to these companies,” he said.

How To Watch

Both podcasts will stream on Disney+ and Hulu, with each episode arriving there a day ahead of the usual audio and video platforms. Clues starts October 20 and Mother Knows Murder starts November 9. They join a true crime shelf on Hulu that already includes documentaries like My Grandfather Charles Manson.
