A new Avengers: Doomsday preview is coming to the biggest baseball stage of the year. Major League Baseball announced on Thursday that an exclusive look at the Marvel Studios film will air during Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night, less than two months before the movie opens in theaters.
MLB made the announcement with a short teaser of its own, showing a glowing green Avengers logo rising over a ballpark under the words “Something’s coming.”

Tune in to World Series Game 1 for an exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday
In theaters everywhere December 18
When And Where To Watch
Game 1 is on Friday, October 23, with the Milwaukee Brewers hosting the Tampa Bay Rays at American Family Field. First pitch is set for 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific), and the game airs on FOX, FOX Deportes and the FOX One streaming service, as Laughing Place laid out. Neither MLB nor Marvel has said at what point in the broadcast the preview will run, so plan on watching the whole game.
The Brewers won the National League pennant and hold home-field advantage after finishing the regular season with the better record. The Rays are the American League champions. The series is a best-of-seven.
Marvel’s Big Push Toward December
Friday’s preview is the latest stop in a long campaign for the film. Marvel showed a special look at Avengers: Doomsday at D23 in August, and the studio has spent the fall rolling out tie-ins, from a Doctor Doom watch to a contest for premiere tickets.
The cast talk has not slowed down either. Jeremy Renner has already said Hawkeye is not in Avengers: Doomsday, and he joked that the Avengers will probably lose.
Marvel has not said how long the World Series footage runs, whether it is a full trailer or a shorter spot, or whether it will be posted online after it airs. For now, Game 1 is the only confirmed place to see it.
When Avengers: Doomsday Opens
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on Friday, December 18, 2026. It is the first of two new Avengers films, with Avengers: Secret Wars to follow.
Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, are back behind the camera. Robert Downey Jr. returns to Marvel as Victor von Doom, the film’s villain and the focus of that D23 footage.
