A Marvel drone show filled the sky over Seoul’s Han River on Halloween night, and its big moment belonged to Avengers: Doomsday. Two thousand drones rose over Ttukseom Hangang Park at 8:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, October 31, which was 7:30 a.m. Eastern back in the United States, and turned Tony Stark into Doctor Doom in midair.
The Marvel drone show in Seoul is … insane? The Tony to Doom transition is wildddd

The Seoul Metropolitan Government put on the show as the last Han River drone performance of the year, and it chose Marvel to close the season.
Thanos, Iron Man And Then Doom
The video of the show, carrying both Marvel and Seoul My Soul branding, plays like a quick tour of the Infinity Saga before it pivots to what comes next. Thanos appears first with the Infinity Gauntlet on his fist. Iron Man follows with a gauntlet of his own, glowing red and gold above the skyline.
Then the Iron Man helmet gives way to Tony Stark’s face. The drones break apart, the sky goes nearly dark, and they come back together as Doctor Doom, hood up and hands raised. That swap is the whole pitch for the new movie in one image, since Robert Downey Jr. is back in the MCU to play Doom after more than a decade as Iron Man.
Filmed from across the water, the figures hang over the lights of the Seoul skyline, with the river reflecting every color back up from below. Between characters, the drones regroup into smaller clusters of color before the next shape snaps into place.
A Doomsday Party On The Ground
The city did not stop at the drones. Before the show started, the park hosted an Avengers: Doomsday photo zone and a Halloween costume parade, turning the riverbank into a fan event for the night.
Jo Seong-ho, who leads Seoul’s Tourism and Sports Bureau, called the drone shows “a premier nighttime tourism attraction that combines world-class content with the charm of Seoul.” This year the finale leaned on Marvel to deliver that.
When Avengers: Doomsday Opens
Korean audiences get the film first. Avengers: Doomsday opens in South Korean theaters on December 16, two days ahead of its December 18 release in the United States.
Marvel has been building toward that date for weeks, most recently with a new teaser promising three teams will stand as one. The Seoul show did not tease any new footage, but it did give fans one more look at Downey as Doom before the movie arrives, this time built out of light over a river.
For anyone outside Korea, the video is the closest thing to a front-row seat, and the Tony to Doom transition is worth the two minutes.
