The Grand Floridian Cafe has a new menu waiting for it. Ahead of the restaurant’s November 2 reopening, Walt Disney World has posted a refreshed lineup that drops the Cajun pasta and the vegetable curry, renames the signature burger and adds power bowls, shrimp scampi and a short list of new desserts.

Disney’s listing for the Grand Floridian Cafe still shows the restaurant closed for refurbishment, but its calendar now carries breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting November 2. Until then, the cafe’s brunch keeps running upstairs at Citricos. The listing now describes the restaurant as offering “menus inspired by the Sunshine State’s blend of natural beauty and historic grace.”

What’s New On The Grand Floridian Cafe Menu

The burger is the same build under a new name and a lower price. The $27 Grand Floridian Cafe Signature Burger, a 7-ounce patty with brie, bacon-pepper jam and roasted garlic aïoli, is now the Applewood Bacon Burger at $25. Two power bowls join the lunch menu, salmon for $26 and tofu for $22, alongside a $19 club sandwich and a $21 Cobb salad.

Dinner picks up shrimp scampi with fettuccine for $38 and a plant-based charred cauliflower steak for $27. The New York strip stays at $39, now a 12-ounce cut with garlic-herb butter, broccolini and mashed potatoes. The Caesar and heirloom apple salads stay too, with salmon added as an option alongside chicken and shrimp. New starters and sides include fried green tomatoes for $12, loaded steak fries for $12, and onion rings, charred broccolini and creamed corn at $6 each.

New morning items include an apple butter-cinnamon roll for $8 and a $17 seasonal quiche. Dessert now includes a vanilla bean crème brûlée for $11 and strawberry shortcake for $9.

What’s Leaving

Several favorites did not make the cut. The Cajun pasta, which ran $35 with chicken and $41 with shrimp, is off the dinner menu, as is the farmer’s market vegetable curry. Traditional eggs Benedict, carnitas tacos, loaded yuca fries and the seasonal soup are also gone, along with the orange crème brûlée, key lime meringue dome and seasonal fruit cobbler.

Planning A Visit

The cafe has been closed since July 20 for a refurbishment, part of the larger refresh of the Grand Floridian that has already brought a new lobby and the Birdcage Bar. We reported in September that the cafe was pointing to a November 2 return, and the new schedule now fills in all three meals for that day. Menus can still change before opening day, so check the listing before you book.
