Disneyland Paris has revealed a first look at The Disney Princess Cavalcade, the brand-new entertainment experience arriving at Disney Adventure World on July 24. It is one of the first new offerings to debut along Adventure Way at the newly reimagined park.
Four Princesses, Four Worlds
According to Disneyland Paris, the cavalcade celebrates four Disney Princesses known for their courage and adventurous spirit, each with her own beautifully themed float. The full lineup has since been confirmed as Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Raya, with concept art revealed for Moana and Raya showing floats depicting the village of Motunui and the Heart Palace from Raya and the Last Dragon. The creative team, led by directors Matteo Borghi and Francoise Baffioni, built the experience around the idea that true adventure is rooted in community and culture, drawing on the original animated films and the traditions of the countries they represent.
An Interactive Twist
Unlike a traditional wave-and-smile parade, this cavalcade invites guests to join in. The route begins near the entrance of the future Lion King-themed area, travels up Adventure Way to The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, then returns with an interactive sequence where the Princesses engage directly with the crowd. Moana will teach moves inspired by traditional Pacific Islands dance, while Raya demonstrates choreography rooted in martial arts, created with renowned choreographer Cecile Chaduteau.
Original Music Recorded In Nashville
Two original songs were produced especially for the experience, one for the procession and another for the show stops, written by a team of songwriters including Chris Sernel of Disneyland Paris 30th anniversary fame. The music was recorded in Nashville with some of the city’s finest musicians, and each float carries its own arrangement drawn from that princess’s film. The cavalcade is the latest addition to Disney Adventure World following its March opening, and arrives as Disney entertainment expands worldwide, including the live-action Moana global tour currently underway.
