Gasparilla Island Grill, the quick-service spot at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, has raised prices across a big chunk of its menu. The new prices showed up on the restaurant’s official menu on Tuesday, with 31 items changing price. Twenty-nine went up and only two came down.
Outside of a $9 jump on a bottle of wine, most of the increases are small, between 10 and 50 cents, but they land on the things resort guests grab every day: morning coffee, grab-and-go snacks and sides.
Coffee Goes Up 70 Cents
The increase most guests will notice is on hot drinks. A regular-size Joffrey’s coffee, caffeinated or decaf, went from $4.29 to $4.99, and so did regular hot cocoa and Twinings hot tea. That 70-cent jump is about 16 percent. The large sizes of all four only went up a dime, from $5.19 to $5.29, so the large now costs just 30 cents more than the regular.
An espresso macchiato is now $4.29, up from $3.99. Fountain drinks went from $4.79 to $4.99, the Honest Berry Hibiscus and Honest Honey Green Tea went from $5.29 to $5.49, and the vanilla high protein milkshake is now $6.75, up from $6.50. A glass of Copa White Zinfandel went from $11 to $12. A bottle of Drouhin Pinot Noir from Oregon jumped $9, from $53 to $62.
Snacks And Sides Cost More Too
French fries, macaroni and cheese and house-made chips each went from $4.99 to $5.49. Chicken sausage and a side of eggs are now $3.79 each, up from $3.49.
On the snack shelf, a SNICKERS bar went from $2.49 to $2.99 and fresh fruit from $2.29 to $2.79. Strawberry toaster pastries are now $3.49, up from $2.99, and the allergy-friendly double chocolate brownie climbed 80 cents to $5.79. Blueberry and vanilla Greek yogurts went from $3.19 to $3.49, Cuties mandarins from $4.19 to $4.49, the chocolate chip cookie dough bar from $2.99 to $3.29 and the frozen strawberry bar from $5.79 to $5.99.
Two items got cheaper. The Minnie Cupcake dropped from $7.29 to $6.79, and Nestlé Dibs fell from $6.79 to $6.29.
What It Means If You Are Staying At The Grand Floridian
For most guests the change shows up in the morning coffee run. Two regular coffees and two sides of fries for a family now cost $2.40 more than before. No entrées changed price in this update. You can check the full Gasparilla Island Grill menu on Disney’s site, or browse it alongside the resort’s other restaurants on our Grand Floridian menus page.
It comes on the heels of a round of increases across Walt Disney World this month, when Disney raised character dining and buffet prices at 15 restaurants.
