The Enchanted Star Hotel finally has an opening date. Shanghai Disney Resort’s third Disney hotel will welcome its first guests on December 16, and reservations open November 6, giving fans just under six weeks between booking day and check-in.

The resort revealed the name back in June during its 10th anniversary celebration, and at the time would only say the hotel would open this winter. We covered that announcement when the name was first revealed. Now the date is locked in.
What The Enchanted Star Hotel Looks Like
The deluxe hotel has about 400 rooms across nine floors and sits beside the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, looking out over Shanghai Disneyland and Wishing Star Lake. Its theme comes from the legendary wishing star, which runs from the exterior to the guest rooms, and the architecture borrows from historic Shanghai buildings with an Art Nouveau style.
In Chinese, the hotel’s name shares its “wishing star” with Wishing Star Lake and the Wishing Star Park that wraps around it, so the hotel is tied by name to the water it overlooks. Three new white crane sculptures were also recently added along the lakeshore.
Each room carries wish-themed artwork with small Disney touches worked in. The first room types up for booking are deluxe rooms, deluxe park view rooms, kids’ rooms and executive rooms, with more categories added before opening day.

Pools, Dining And Characters
Guests get an indoor pool plus a seasonal outdoor pool that will open depending on weather and operations. It is the first outdoor pool at any Shanghai Disney Resort hotel. There are themed play areas built around Disney characters and stories, character meet and greets, special performances and a shop with themed merchandise.
The hotel’s restaurant changes its theme with the seasons and mixes Disney storytelling with both Chinese and Western food. A covered walkway connects the Enchanted Star Hotel to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, and guests at either hotel can use the fitness centers, pools, play areas, shops and restaurants at both.
How To Book
Bookings open at midnight Shanghai time on November 6, which works out to 8 a.m. Pacific on November 5 for anyone planning from the United States. Rooms can be booked through the Shanghai Disney Resort reservation center, the resort’s official channels and its official travel partners. Room rates were not part of the announcement.
The Enchanted Star Hotel joins the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, which have been part of the resort since it opened in 2016.
