EPCOT Christmas Trees Are Already Waiting Backstage Ahead Of Festival Of The Holidays

EPCOT Christmas trees are already sitting backstage at the park, nearly four weeks before the Festival of the Holidays begins. Aerial photos taken on October 30 show several decorated tree sections loaded onto flatbed trailers in a backstage lot, ornaments and garland already in place.

The photos come from theme park aerial photographer bioreconstruct, who shared them on the night of October 31.

What The Photos Show

The closer shot shows two trailers parked side by side. One carries three narrower tree sections wrapped in red ribbon and hung with colorful ornaments. The other holds two much wider, rounder sections trimmed with gold garland, bells and colorful round ornaments.

The wider photo pulls back to show more of the yard. Another decorated section sits near the water, and a trailer near the bottom of the frame carries one more. Shipping containers, storage trailers and work equipment fill the rest of the lot.

The photos do not show where each piece will end up in the park. What they do show is that the holiday changeover at EPCOT is well underway behind the scenes.

When The Holidays Arrive At EPCOT

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30, 2026, starting the day after Thanksgiving as it has in years past. Disney says the park’s holiday decor includes trees inspired by global traditions, with each World Showcase pavilion getting its own look. The Gingerbread Spaceship Earth display, presented by Citizen, also returns with its countdown celebration.

The festival brings back holiday kitchens around World Showcase, storytellers at the pavilions and Santa at EPCOT, along with Goofy dressed as Santa for photos at The Odyssey. The Candlelight Processional returns too, and Jason Kelce, Robin Roberts and Lacey Chabert are new to its narrator lineup this year. JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season brings gospel, jazz and R&B back to the festival, the Voices of Liberty return as the Dickens Carolers, and the Holiday Cookie Stroll is back for anyone snacking their way around the lagoon.

Before any of that starts, the trees in these photos still have to be moved into place and set up.

What To Watch For Next

The next step is getting these sections out of the backstage lot and into the park. We will be watching for the first trees to appear in World Showcase and around the front of EPCOT as the decor goes up over the coming weeks.
