The first of Disney Music Emporium’s promised new releases for D23 has been revealed, and it belongs to EPCOT. The Music of EPCOT, a two-LP set, will be available for pre-order at the Disney Music booth during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event later this month.
Disney Music Emporium, the destination for collectible Disney soundtracks and physical media, announced ahead of the event that attendees would find a brand-new shopping experience along with the chance to purchase or pre-order 14 new titles, without saying what those titles would be and promising instead to reveal them one at a time. The Music of EPCOT is the first out of the gate, announced jointly with Walt Disney Records and Instagram account Park Hop Nation and covered by LaughingPlace.
Walt’s Voice On The Record
The most intriguing detail is on the record itself: the set will include a recording of Walt Disney talking about EPCOT. Walt famously laid out his vision for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow on film in October 1966, in what became his final filmed appearance, though the album’s announcement does not specify which recording of him it uses.
Pre-orders will be taken at the Disney Music Booth, located at E13 in Hall B, during the event, which runs August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Anyone ordering there gets free shipping rather than carrying a double record around the show floor for three days. The album releases on October 2, 2026, one day after EPCOT marks the 44th anniversary of its October 1, 1982 opening, and the sleeve carries a photograph of Spaceship Earth lit at night in its current scheme.
Both Eras Of The Park On One Set
A full track list has not been confirmed, but the announcement already answers the more interesting question of which EPCOT this is. The set takes its inspiration from the 1983 release The Official Album of EPCOT Center, and the teaser specifically names Listen to the Land and New Horizons alongside music from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
That span is the actual pitch. Rather than reissuing the 1983 album, the set runs from the park’s opening-day soundscape through what plays in it today, which puts Horizons and Cosmic Rewind on the same shelf. For a fanbase that argues constantly about which version of EPCOT counts, refusing to choose is a deliberate move.
Pixar Hits Follows, With 12 Still To Come
The second title has since landed. Disney Music Emporium used its Instagram account to reveal Pixar Hits, a bright yellow pressing marking Pixar’s first 40 years that gathers both songs and score highlights running from Toy Story through Elemental. Like the EPCOT set, the wording is order first at D23 rather than exclusive to it, so a wider release should follow for anyone not attending, and D23 buyers again get free shipping.
That leaves 12 titles still unrevealed with the event now a little over a week away. The order of the rollout is itself informative, since leading with a parks album and following it with a Pixar anthology says something about where Disney thinks the collector demand sits. Disney Music Emporium has history with this event: its pop-up shops in years past have leaned heavily on exclusive and first-to-market vinyl pressings, and the format has become the collector centerpiece of its event presence.
The reveals add to a D23 season that is accelerating by the day, with panel reservations having closed back in July and event-exclusive merchandise collections being announced across Disney’s brands and partners in the run-up to the August weekend.
