Marvel Animation has ordered three more seasons of Marvel Zombies, and each one has a name and a Halloween release. The studio revealed the slate Thursday at its New York Comic Con 2026 television and animation panel: Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier arrives Halloween 2027, Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu follows Halloween 2028, and Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian lands Halloween 2029.
That puts the undead corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a yearly October schedule for three straight years, with every season built around a different hero. The first season arrived in late September 2025, about a month ahead of Halloween, so the new dates move the show squarely into spooky season.

Bucky Finally Gets His Story In 2027
The first of the new seasons picks up a thread fans have been waiting on since the original run. Bucky Barnes never appeared in the first season, but the show’s creators had already planned story elements for him and hoped to feature him in a second season. The Winter Soldier now gets a full season of its own, two years after the first.
Marvel Television and Animation head Brad Winderbaum had already teased the next chapter, saying he had seen the animatic for its opening episode and that it delivers something that has never really happened in the MCU before.
The Fist Of Khonshu Arrives In 2028
The second new season carries the name of the Egyptian moon god behind Moon Knight. In the first season, Blade took up the mantle as the avatar of Khonshu after Marc Spector’s death, becoming Blade Knight. Plot and cast details for The Fist of Khonshu have not been released, but the title points straight back to that storyline. It is set for Halloween 2028.
The Last Guardian Closes Out 2029
The Last Guardian is the furthest out, slated for Halloween 2029. Marvel has not said which Guardian the title refers to or who survives long enough to earn it.
Where Marvel Zombies Stands Now
Marvel Zombies premiered on Disney+ on September 24, 2025, with four episodes. It continues the zombie apocalypse first seen in the What If…? episode “What If… Zombies?!” and was Marvel’s first TV-MA animated series. The first season followed a group of survivors fighting superpowered zombies, and it ended on a cliffhanger that left the door open for more.
The Winter Soldier joins a 2027 Marvel Television lineup that also includes the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again.
