Rose & Crown Dining Room and Rose & Crown Pub at EPCOT will both close on January 11, 2027, for what Disney calls planned maintenance. Disney’s dining page says both locations are expected to reopen later in 2027, and no specific return date has been given.
That is a much bigger closure than the one Disney first announced. The original plan, which Disney added to its refurbishment calendar earlier this month and BlogMickey reported at the time, closed only the Dining Room starting February 15 and had it back in early spring, with the Pub staying open. The new date arrives five weeks sooner, takes the Pub down too, and pushes the return to later in 2027.
What This Means For The United Kingdom Pavilion
Until sometime later in 2027, the United Kingdom pavilion will be without its only table service restaurant and its main bar. Rose & Crown has been part of the pavilion since EPCOT opened in 1982, and the Pub opens right onto the World Showcase promenade.
Yorkshire County Fish Shop, the walk-up window that serves fish and chips around the corner, is not named in the closure notice. Disney has not said what the maintenance involves, whether the work will change either space, or which month the two locations will reopen.
Getting In Before January 11
Both locations are operating as usual until the closure begins, which leaves a little under three months for a visit. The Dining Room currently serves dinner only, starting at 4 p.m., with tables indoors and on a patio that looks out over World Showcase Lagoon. Fish and chips, bangers and mash, cottage pie and sticky toffee pudding are among the dishes Disney highlights there.
The Pub opens at 10:30 a.m. and pours British beers, ciders, scotches and signature cocktails. Current menus and prices for both are on our United Kingdom pavilion menus page.
If you are planning a winter trip, note the timing. The closure starts four days before the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts returns on January 15, so anyone counting on Rose & Crown for a festival dinner will need a backup plan elsewhere in World Showcase. Walt Disney World opens dining reservations 60 days ahead, so the Dining Room’s final nights before the closure will start to become bookable in November. If a last Rose & Crown dinner before the closure is on your list, November is the window to watch.
