House of Blues has raised prices across its outdoor menu at Disney Springs, and the biggest jump lands on families. The kids’ hot dog and kids’ chicken tenders at The Smokehouse and The Front Porch each went from $8 to $11 this week, part of a round of 33 increases that touched every returning sandwich, beer and cocktail. The menu picked up some new items at the same time, including beignets and a Red Hot Crunch Dog.
The Smokehouse is the walk-up barbecue counter outside House of Blues on the West Side, and The Front Porch serves the same menu, so the new prices apply at both. The full lineup is on Disney’s Smokehouse menu page and on our Disney Springs West Side menus.
What Costs More Now
Most entrees went up a dollar. The BBQ Brisket Sandwich is now $17, the Pulled Pork Sandwich $16, the Street Corn Dog $15 and the Smoked Turkey Leg $15. The Classic Corn Dog and the Jumbo Footlong Hot Dog both moved to $13. The BBQ Chicken Salad took a bigger hit, rising $2 to $16.
Every returning beer and cocktail also went up a dollar. Bud Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra and Yuengling are now $8, while Blue Moon, Corona Extra, Stella Artois, Modelo Especial and Angry Orchard are $9. The craft beers, including Cigar City Jai Alai, Kona Big Wave and the two Crooked Can beers, are $13. High Noon is $11, and an energy drink is $7. All eight specialty cocktails, from the Hurricane to the Crossroads Cadillac Margarita, Memphis Blues Sangria and Rock and Rye Old Fashioned, are now $16.
The $3 bump on kids’ meals is the steepest of the bunch at 37.5 percent. It follows a similar move the same day, when The Polite Pig took its kids’ meals to $11 as well.
New On The Menu
The new food items are a Red Hot Crunch Dog for $15, beignets for $14 and milkshakes for $10, plus a $2 cheese sauce. They arrive as the BBQ Nacho Corn Dog leaves the menu, along with the nacho cheese sauce and the chocolate churro dipping sauce.
The beer and seltzer list was reshuffled too. Three Wishes Hazy IPA ($13), Voodoo Ranger IPA ($11), Dogfish Head Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale ($11), Sun Cruiser ($11), Truly Hard Seltzer ($9) and Athletic Brewing’s non-alcoholic Mexican-style copper ($9) are new. Lagunitas, White Claw, Budweiser Zero and Prison Pals Hakuna Matata are gone. Powerade is also new at $5.
Wine got cheaper, at least on paper. The $16 red blend, chardonnay and sparkling rosé are off the menu, and Archer Roose red, white or rosé is new at $14.
Put together, a family ordering two adult sandwiches and two kids’ meals now pays $8 more than it did before the change, before drinks.
