It still looks like the Bazaar you know, just a lot fresher. The shop has been part of Adventureland since Disneyland opened in July 1955.
Disney took the walls down in stages. Part of the new paint showed up in mid-September, and now the rest is out.
Part Of A Bigger Round Of Disneyland Refurbishments
The Bazaar is one of several spots around Disneyland getting refreshed this fall. Over in Frontierland, the archway and fireplace at Rancho del Zocalo are finished and work has moved to the restaurant’s entrance passage, while new light fixtures are going up around Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in Bayou Country.
Back in Adventureland, Indiana Jones Adventure reopens next Friday, October 23. With the Bazaar done and Indy coming back, this corner of the land is almost back to normal.
More Refurbishments Wrapping Up
Fall is a busy time for refurbishments at Disneyland, with crews finishing projects before the holiday season starts in November. The Bazaar joins other recent reopenings like the Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition, which came back after more than two months behind walls. We’ll let you know what comes out from behind the walls next.
